* This antique art glass rose bowl vase was made by the Phoenix Glass Company of Monaca, PA. * This rose bowl dates to the last quarter of the 19th century and was made at Phoenix during deals the years of Joseph Webb's involvement with the firm (1883-1888). * This piece has a blue die-away effect, with mica flakes entrapped between layers of opal glass and crystal glass. * An example of this design can be found in Leland Marple's book, "Phoenix Art Glass", on page 120, plate 293. * This rose bowl is approximately 3 3/4" tall and is approximately 4" across at the center. * In beautiful condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs to be noted. * There is a partially ground pontil mark present on the bottom. * Please examine photos carefully (and zoom in) to see condition.
