Wool and Waxed deals Linen Extra Large Messenger Bag

This messenger bag is handmade by Urban Stitcher® using a modified version of the Craggan pattern by Spencer Ogg Design.

This extra large waxed linen bag is durable and stylish. Pendleton® wool fabric and blue cork accents make it one-of-a-kind. The main body of the bag is "Aspen Natural" 8-ounce waxed linen. The bottom is blue cork from Portugal. Pendleton wool decorates the front pocket and flap.

The bag measures 14" tall x 13" wide x 5" deep (at the base). The flap closes with two magnetic snaps. The exterior easy-access slip pocket is 8-1/2" wide x 9" deep. The flap closes over the top of this pocket to keep valuables in place. A zippered pocket on the back is trimmed with blue cork and measures 6" deep with a 6-1/2" opening.

The main cavity is fully lined with gray Cordura 500D. An inside zippered pocket is trimmed with cork and measures 6" deep with a 6" opening. An inside slip pocket is made using the same beautiful Pendleton wool and is also trimmed with blue cork. It measures 5-1/2" deep and 7" wide.
A 9" blue cork security strap with swivel clasp keeps keys handy.

The 1-1/2" wide steel gray, lightweight polypropylene web strap is comfortable and extends to a generous 65". It is permanently attached to the bag with blue cork strap anchors.

All hardware is black nickel finish. The strap rectangle rings and center bar adjuster are beautiful flat cast (shaped flat rather than round with no seams or joints).

Zippers are gray tape with black nickel finish nylon coil. The external zipper is #5; the inside zipper is #3.

The bag is lightly padded with Pellon lightweight fleece. Flex-foam has been added to the bottom for extra cushion. All seams and top stitching are sewn with bonded nylon thread.

Caring for your bag: Spot clean with a very damp rag. Waxed canvas should not be washed or dry cleaned. A soft bristle lint brush works well on the waxed linen. Do not use an iron to deals remove wrinkles. If you should develop a water spot on your waxed linen, apply heat from your hair dryer to the area to reset the wax. Cordura is water resistant. Soil and spills on the inside of the bag can be easily wiped away. The cork on the bottom can be washed with mild soap and water.
