Hand designed using a non harden clay, then molded into a hard copy plaster, molded using my own hand made mold. Hand cast using a fine sand and cement mix, hand colored using a mix of mineral based concrete color, hand detailed using fine metal instrument, then sealed with a water based concrete sealer for an authentic smooth finish. Inspired by the classic Gothic European dragons of yesteryear.This creature is the the latest member of my dragon clan and one the the most challenging and rewarding statues I've designed and completed in the 20+ years of my work. There we're many months of challenging sculpting and re sculpting using my clay and finest dental like instruments as my mind and imagination took over, I finally persevered. I love what I do and I am extremely proud of this work. He is massive in size, and quite the character for that dragon lover and appreciator. Her is perched in that guardian stance, ready to pounce at a moments notice. His claws are strong enough to hold up large or many small objects, his immense wings we're built for many hours of long flights in the night. Dragons protect best at night so his finish is perfect for masking or hiding him in case of danger on his journey.Picture#1 to 4 is Old world rustic. His bird like beak and teeth was made for tearing apart man or beast, what ever enemy he may come across. The powerful muscles in his arm and legs makes him quite a force to reckon with.
