Deals Indiana Hoosiers "Good Old Hoosier" Framed Vintage Beer Coaster

This is a vintage Hoosier beer coaster from the mid 1930s, never used and very retro. Hoosier's roots date back to 1905 with founding of the South Bend Brewing Association by a group of local tavern owners of European descent. At the onset of Prohibition in 1919, the organization became the South Bend Beverage and Ice Association to reflect the change in its product line to non-alcoholic beverages and block ice. Although Prohibition was repealed in 1933, the organization retained its name until 1936 when it became the South Bend Brewing Co. Hoosier Beer was produced from 1933 until the brewery closed its doors in 1949. The beer was popular in northern Indiana and southern Michigan.

Vintage is 1933-1936. The coaster comes in a 9 1/2 x 9 1/2 black frame with attached sawtooth hanger for wall mounting. For the old school beer drinker and/or Indiana native. This is a great anniversary or birthday gift. A hard-to-find deals vintage collectible that makes for fantastic bar decor and/or man cave décor.

Hoosier Beer is perhaps the only representation of the "Hoosier" name in a city that is best known as the hometown of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish!
