This BOOK PIECE iconic runway KJL For Avon Caprianti collection necklace c. 1990s shimmers with foiled Lucite cabochon in Gripoix Mogul style. The statement, a bold, and beautiful piece, features a deals gold-plated cable chain with huge brilliantly and richly colored hanging medallions. The underlay makes the color shimmer and pop. The medallions are ruby red, sapphire blue, amethyst purple and emerald green raised Lucite cabochons. The necklace has a very quality weight of148 grams! The necklace is approximately 18" long (adjustable from 16" to 19"). The center drop is just under 3.5". The necklace is signed: "K.J.L. for Avon". The pieces from this collection can be found on page 245 of Julia Carroll's book, "Collecting Costume Jewellery". Excellent vintage condition with no signs of wearing to the gold finish. The Lucite stones are also in excellent condition with no chips or scratches.
