Sapphire is the birth stone for September and is also traditionally given at the 5th and 45th wedding anniversaries. A healing gem it is linked with mental heath and there is a belief that it can help overcome depression. Blue Sapphire is the best known variety but whilst not quite a rainbow gem Sapphire comes in shades of yellow, white, pink, grey, green and purple.

Russian Chrome Diopside can only be mined for 3 months of the year because the area where it is found is so inhospitable. That wonderful deep green colour is completely natural and In ancient times people believed it had dropped from the tree of life. It is associated with peace and tranquillity and has earned a reputation for being a visualisation stone.

Until the early 1800's Sunstone was a little known, rare and costly gemstone. More discoveries of this subtle and beautiful gem in Norway and Siberia and other parts of the world helped it to become more readily available. The Native Americans believed Sunstone was formed by the blood of a great warrior, wounded by an arrow, whose blood fell in drops on the sunstone found in Oregon, giving them cared power. The gem has a wonderful schiller within that gives it a soft luminescence and discreet sparkle.

Designed and created by hand by me in Sussex, all gems are genuine and personally sourced. Each piece is unique.
