deals In just a few inches this understated necklace captures a piece of history by way of the ancient Hebron glass focal bead. These beads are said to be hundreds of years old and you can certainly see the ancient way the bead was made with the molten glass wrapped layer by layer around a core that created the hole. On either side of this ancient glass the cultural mix continues with shiny blue glass discs that I bought from a Maasai woman in Kenya and complementing the style are long jadeite beads from Guatemala, alongside silver colored beads from Peru, powdered glass from West Africa, antique teal glass tubes originally from Europe then traded to Africa. The design is capped by sterling from India. The whole is strung on leather cord and I made the toggle with an ostrich shell bead that seemed perfectly fitting. The length is 17.5""/44.5cm.
