The corners on the stone are shaped. There's a 1.25" diameter hole for the pin frog holder and where you can place your flower. Feels like the base of this vase is plastic and this plastic piece is where the water is held/stored in. The bottom of this vase where the water is held in has some scuffs, scrapes and lines on the bottom from being slid around and stored. On the bottom so not that big of a deal or noticeable but if gifting doesn't look new on the bottom, unfortunately.
