A Gorgeous ashtray in which is depicted edition of the 1908 poster by leading fin-de-siecle Italian artist, illlustrator and poster designer Marcello Dudovich advertising an arts ball at the famous Teatro Dal deals Verme in Milan. The theatre (badly damaged during World War II and since extensively renovated as a theatre/conference centre complex) was vast, so this ball for the 'family of artists' must have been quite an occasion.
A very nice gift for smokers or for yours collection.
It would also make a stylish coin dish or key tray.

Marcello Dudovich (21 March 1878 in Trieste – 31 March 1962 in Milan) was an Italian painter, illustrator, and poster designer. Together with Leonetto Cappiello, Adolfo Hohenstein, Giovanni Maria Mataloni and Leopoldo Metlicovitz he is considered one of the progenitors of Italian poster design.
