Although I shot "Fata Morgana" in the magnificent and breathtaking Art Deco lobby of a hotel, the Venetian street and canal atmosphere are what attracts the eye. While looking at the shot, you have the feeling you are watching an Italian movie on a big glass window screen. Viewers and clients often asked me whether this picture is a painting or a collage. I assured them that this scene was authentic and that the reality of beauty often beats fiction.

This photograph was taken through the lens of a Stereoblind Photographer. Stereoblindness is the inability to see depth and distances, so where others see 3D, I see flat angles, layers, and geometric shapes. Where others take pictures of their surroundings, I capture overlapping frames, the little gem hidden behind deals mountains of figures.
