The Asian black bear, also known as moon bear, is a medium-sized bear species native to Asia and this striking Russian interpretation in porcelain is a nicely stylized gem. Created in the USSR of the 70s (it is believed) at the Lomonosov factory. One of the oldest porcelain manufacturers in Europe, it was founded in 1744 by Empress Elizabeth, the daughter of Peter the Great.
