Product code: Art Deco Kodak Brownie Holiday (1953-1962) deals Camera Designed By Arthur H. Crapsey
Art Deco Kodak Brownie Holiday (1953-1962) Vintage Camera Designed By Arthur H. Crapsey Successful lineage of 127 film cameras produced by Kodak under the name “Baby Brownie” started in 1930's and continued even in 1950's with this little camera, known as Brownie Holiday. It was designed deals by Arthur H. Crapsey, who slowly started to move from the classical Art-Deco style into simplified and more modern forms. The shutter and the film format remained practically the same. If you decide to try it and bring some nostalgia this season, the film type is 127 and it's still available today for purchase, for about $20 per roll. The body is made of real Bakelite, a “wonder material” from the 1920's and 1930's that changed the world and allowed the designers to create art. Bakelite was the first material that could be molded and once the piece was ready, it was hard, durable, scratch resistant and glossy, unlike plastics we know today. Camera is in excellent condition.
