Antique French pair of ornate bronze tiebacks. They are highly decorative, and still holding a lot of their original gilding, some of which has rubbed back and is showing the bronze underneath. Unusual to find a pair that have the beautiful double bar, (please study the photographs to see what I mean). The back plate is an acanthus leaf, topped with an urn, which has a swag, truly lovely detail

The back plate measures 14cms or 5½”, however, the curve on the tieback is 20cms or 7 & 7/8" in total. On the wall, they will protrude by 16.5cms or 6½”. deals

They will fix to the wall with a hook that holds the bar on the back of the backplate - please see photograph, they have no pre-drilled holes to fix them by
