Vintage Welcome Home Flag US Navy CIA WWII USA WW2 Camp Peary The Farm VA Original WWII Welcome Home US Navy flag with welcoming personalized messages written for the soldier's homecoming. Camp Peary is written on the side of the flag, while “WILLIAM BURG” (Williamsburg) and “VIRGINA” are written on the bottom. Camp Peary was built in 1942 in Williamsburg, which is what leads me to believe this is a WWII era flag. Additionally, Camp Peary housed both the CIA and US Navy—interestingly this is a Navy flag with a “CIA” inscription deals. Flag definitely has its own patina and shows some age, though there are no rips and the original coloring is still strong. I acquired this flag from a dealer in Eastern Tennessee.
