Some tiles may have crazing or what looks like cracks on the tile but the tile itself has a smooth surface. This is an effect that is caused from uneven firing temperatures or the drying rate of the glaze onto the clay. There is no guarantee on which ceramic tiles will have crazing for every ceramic piece is handmade. Actual cracks can be felt by running a finger nail over it and it dips into it.
