What a fun piece!

A rare vintage white milk bottle printed with Kenneth Townsend's whimsical stylized cow from his Menagerie tile series. The mid century milk glass bottle was made by Egizia in Italy.

The cow is finished in a pumpkin orange, brown and black and the graphics are nice and crisp.
It is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks.

The bottle stands 10” high x 3 3/8” across the base.

Kenneth Townsend (1931-99) managed to capture the humorous side of life through his art, drawings and writing. He lived in England and designed for Hornsea Pottery, Chance Brothers (glass), Cuckoobird Productions (textiles) Merit (games) and James Galt & Co. Ltd (toys). His work is represented in public collections in England, Scotland and Holland.
