PRETTY Fancy Victorian Style! Vintage 1960 PARAGON Commemorative Cup & Saucer Set In PRISTINE CONDITION - Made in England. Commemorates the wedding of H.M.H. Princess Margaret to Antony Armstrong-Jones on May 6th, 1960. Lovely hand decorated with the symbolic blooms of Britain - the rose, the shamrock, the thistle, and the daffodil representing England, N. Ireland, Scotland, and Wales - on white inside a pastel blue cup with matching pastel blue saucer with matching blooms. This is an original set & was never used & rarely displayed - vivid color. Gently scalloped edges and very shapely - gorgeous glaze - pastel blue & white - beautiful gold gilt filigree wraps around the M & A deals initials of the bride & groom on both cup & saucer. Gold gilt embellishments on handle, around rims / edges, multiple gold gilt bands on both. No signs of use, no crazing, no aging, no chips, no fleabites, no cracks. Pings to perfection with a lovely high pitch ring.
