These ballpoint pens have been turned from very rare woods, in any case not available from wood merchants.
I collect the wood in the forest where it has been attacked by a tiny and very special fungus, the green elfcup (or green woodcup, Chlorociboria aeruginascens) which has the amazing property to stain many species of wood blue-green: I have identified beech, birch, oak and aspen. This color is completely natural. The darker the wood, the more it is attacked and crumbly. The result is a very light and fragile materiel, but the color has an inimitable depth, much nicer in reality that on the pictures!
These woods of various species have been used in seventeenth century marquetry because their color is much more durable than artificially colored wood. They have since been forgotten.
I consolidated the wood with strong resins and then inlaid white mother-of-pearl dots to deals enhance this amazing color. The pen is covered by a thin layer of acrylate varnish.
Parker-type refills are available at any stationary store, I can fit your pen with a ballpoint or a rollerball refill.
