THIS IS A JAPANESE CONSOLE, which means it'll only play Japanese games and Japanese burnt discs. One can play American discs using a boot disc like Utopia or Codebreaker, or physically installing a modchip. The motherboard is a VA0 - compatible with MODE TerraOnion, and can be compatible with GDEMU as long as you replace a few resistors. The console was fully cleaned inside and out. It looks excellent, almost brand new. Controller and VMU were only wiped clean. Everything is OEM, directly deals from Japan.
