This is an amazing collection of ormolu* jewelry boxes from the 1890-1900s, meant as souvenirs for visitors. There are 19 in all (but I will be listing them in groups of 6-7 at a time)! Each one has a drawing of a Paris landmark on the lid (except two from Strasbourg). I see one of these occasionally, but rarely with the Paris landmarks. One of these would make a great engagement ring box!
Some are in better shape than others (I mean, they are 130 years old.) Some are larger (up to 5.75") and some are very small (2"). Some have little cushion in the bottom or mirrors in the lid. Many have very rare, thick beveled glass sides. Please email with any questions as I don't accept returns. All ship free and insured.
*a thin gold-colored allow made to allow the metal to be shaped.
#13- Tracadero Paris
This medium-sized rectangular box has beveled glass sides and top. There is slight metal warping and even though the feet are solid, there is a *slight* wobble. The red tufted inner pillow is in fair condition. There is no mirror and the image has a bit of glue.
3.75” x 2.75” x 2.5”
