Rare, handsome, antique, bathroom fixture made by, "The Brasscrafters," of Boston, MA sometime during the deals first quarter of the previous century. The dish and mounting harness are solid brass, plated with chrome. Most of the chrome is still intact, but there are many spots where it's worn, giving the piece a nice, distressed look. There is also a subtle patina, which enhances this look even more.
Considering that the piece is about 100 years old, it's in excellent condition! There are no breaks, cracks, chips, dents, or heavy scratches. The dish and harness are tight and there is no "play" or looseness between them. Pieces like this were designed to last indefinitely, and this piece has at least another lifetime of service left in it.
