deals This is a special teapot. First of all, the handle features a lion's head and the feet are paws. The etched design is jungle scenery. Not only was this made in 1871, but is is also a piece held in the Smithsonian National Museum of American History. It is silver plated, electro plated. The measurements are: 9 in x 10 1/4 in x 5 3/8 in. The teapot itself is sturdy and in great condition. The plating is worn in places. When I found this teapot, it was completely tarnished and black. I was able to polish a lot of that tarnish away. A jewelry may be able to get it cleaner or replate it.
