Antique Victorian or Edwardian glass perfume flask with Sterling silver cap deals and a little silver loop attached. It is not hallmarked. However, the cap is clearly marked Sterling. The cap has charming flourishes in repousse style. In fine condition, no chips or cracks in the glass. The silver cap is in excellent shape for its age, with only a tiny dent here & there.
Small, just over 3 inches long, it will hold only about 2 milliliters of liquid. This piece is quite old. It may have been a vinaigrette, part of a chatelaine, worn on a chain to hold various handy items at the lady's waist, and which often held smelling salts. Inside the cap is a thin slice of cork, which was intended to act as a seal. I will leave it intact but if you wish to fill the flask, you will want to install a better seal.
