There is an engraved circular plaque on the velvet-lined top interior that reads: "THE ORDER OF THE TROUBADOURS 2006 * QUEEN BERENGARIA OF NAVARRE LIV * LADY EDITH PLANTAGENET OF AQUITAINE" (photos 10,11) For over six decades, members of the Troubadours have celebrated Mardi Gras with the most lavish costumes and regality found anywhere during the Mardi Gras season.
