The material is ribbed and pretty stretchy. The top has some weight to it. It goes across the shoulders and dip upward in the center, where the halter neck starts. The neck doesn't tie closed, but the lace-up detail at the center is adjustable. This top was very well-loved for a couple years but has held up well. I see no damage, but you can check the photos! I think the top is an L. I'd say that's deals accurate but it stretches so comfortably that an XL could fit with no problem. I also have chubby arms and the top doesn't cut into me.
