Raised Embroidery Kit - TOADSTOOLS & deals BRAMBLES

The TOADSTOOLS & BRAMBLES design measures 10cm x 12cm (4" x 4 ¾") wide.

**MODERATE for the Developing Stitcher. This project is perfect for if you are confident with basic stitches and wish to practice your skills or are new to raised embroidery.

The detailed, fully illustrated instruction will help guide you step by step through the project however, you might find it helpful to have your stitch directory at hand - I always do.

THE KIT CONTAINS:
* Natural linen/cotton blend
* Quilter's muslin for backing and detached pieces
* Pale green homespun
* Wool felt
* Appliqué paper
* 16 stranded silks
* Metallic and perlé thread
* Glass beads
* Beading wire
* Needles

You will also need
20cm (8”) embroidery hoop, inner ring bound
10cm (4”) embroidery hoop, inner ring bound
Light coloured sewing thread
Small pliers or old scissors for cutting wire
Baking (or tracing) paper
Dressmaker's carbon paper
Stylus or empty ball point pen
Sharp HB lead pencil

To create dimension, layers of felt are used to pad the large toadstool before the embroidery is applied over the top. The blackberries are embroidered separately using shades of deep purple and highlighted with beads before they are stitched to the main embroidery. Common embroidery stitches and a palette of late summer greens are used to create the variety of leaves.
