A sumptuous colour lithograph antique print from 1882 (date shown at margin; not shown in photo) of two little children in beautiful dresses, dancing to music played by a cellist. The title is "Preparing for the Children's Party, Now, one, two, and three.
This is from deals the picture by A. E. Emslie, a London-born illustrator and genre painter who went to the Royal Academy School in 1872.
This print appeared in the special 1882 Christmas Number of The Graphic, as a premium for readers at Christmas. There is printing en verso. The Graphic was a British weekly illustrated newspaper with immense influence on the art world. Vincent van Gogh was a particular fan.
In very good condition. No creases, scuffs, or bends.
