A beautiful handcrafted french butter keeper, manufactured from white enameled terracotta.

A French butter dish is a container used to maintain the freshness and spreadable consistency of butter without refrigeration. The water will create a seal around the lid, which locks in the fresh butter taste and keeps it from going rancid.

You just have to pack butter deals into the top of the mushroom shaped lid, and fill the base with cool water.
Then, invert the lid over the base (the butter must come into contact with water).
No need to refrigerate, just change water daily, and you will always have a soft and spreadable butter.

This magical french crock is ingenious and ecological, it is ovenproof, microwave oven, it can be washed in a dishwasher.
