Product code: Vintage Stuffed Dog Music Box~~visit my store for deals more music boxes
This is a 1950's-1960's Steiff Cocker Spaniel dog with wind up music box. Located on the back of the dog, the key easily winds up 9 turns and plays a crisp clear tune at the intended speed. He works deals perfectly. The straw stuffing is tight and firm and he magnificently stands proudly on his own. His glass eyes are a magnificent brownish/burnt orange (depending on the angle) color. He has no tears, rips, holes (except for a few pinholes on his back, right foot)..?..He is 9 inches long and almost 10 inch tall from his feet to his head. He has all of his mohair. The fur may appear differently, but it's because of the direction that the fur is lying in. Depending on your standards, he has a few wear spots, but you will be hard pressed to find one that's 75+ years old that's in this great of condition. It is an avid collector's dream to find one of this caliber in the vintage, stuffed, musical animal category. If he hangs around too long he's joining my Favorite Things Club.
