ORIGINAL Watercolor deals Mandala: "Love"

Original watercolor painting on heavy weight archival watercolor paper.

The painting design is a mandala with the word "Love" in the center. Other circles, hearts, lines, and other geometric designs surround the center in larger concentric circles, radiating from the center. The painting (8.5"x11") is shipped flat in protective packaging, already matted to 11"x14" and ready to frame. (The frame pictured is not included, but is meant to show how the art appears when hung).

I take inspiration deals from both mandala design, as well as the making of batik fabrics, by designing the mandala with masking fluid, then adding highly pigmented watercolors once the design is in place. While creating the mandala, I spend time thinking about the central word, and let that message or thought inspire and instruct the design. Due to the process, which involves several drying stages, these paintings usually take longer to create, but the effect and process adds a natural quality and texture to the paintings.
