These adorable gnomes that are sporting Christmas colored hats are new salt and pepper shakers made by Tag. I love their beards that look like fans, the snowflake detail on the hat trim and that their hats are kind of channeling peppers. Most of all—these gnomes are channeling cuteness.

It was a marriage made in heaven when I put these guys inside this little vintage candy/nut tray. I started by building a base in the bottom of the tray with Styrofoam, then affixed the gnomes and bottlebrush trees. I sculpted snow drifts out of foam, slather them with my own sparkly snow then showered themed in pink ultrafine glitter. Yes, pink snow.

There are six bottlebrush trees in the vignette. One of them is decorated for Christmas with two sizes of red miracle glass beads—Which have a bit of shimmer to them. The trees vary in height from 3 inches to just over 1/2 inch. You won't find the two smallest ones anywhere, I'm pretty sure they don't make them that small. I custom sized them myself. If you look closely you'll see a couple of ornaments have fallen into the snow…I suppose gnomes aren't terribly meticulous.

And the finishing touch is a vintage, flocked bow held together by a teeny pipecleaner. Just the right touch of color and it hides the hole where something used to be attached.
