Antique (1920s) and hard to find Johnson Brothers Sweet Briar (not to be confused with the newer pattern spelled as Sweetbriar) hand-decorated dinner plate made in England.

Part of Johnson Brothers' Pareek line of ironstone, Sweet Briar features gently embossed and hand-painted flowers in hues of pink, orange, yellow and blue with greenery interspersed cascading about a broad yellow band. Pieces have a mustard-color rim and an embossed and scalloped edge.

In EXCELLENT! condition with NO! chips, nicks, cracks or fleabites, VERY MINIMAL! crazing (considering their age) and NO! marks, stains, scratches or other signs of use or wear. The hand-painted, gently embossed florals are bright and vivid with NO! noted fading.

Artist's brush mark to base in red.

Approximate measurements: 10-1/4" in diameter (measured edge to deals edge across the front of the plate) with a scalloped, mustard edge.
