Wooden Chess board made of solid walnut wood deals and maple wood christmas gift for kids

A handcrafted wooden chess board made of well dry walnut and maple wood. This wood chess board is a unique piece of art, we take care every single detail and we try to create something that will attract a lot of interest. From the beginning we are selecting the best pieces of woods, we take care so the wood grain of walnut and maple to not be so intense so the final chess board will be harmonic to the eye, after selecting the wood and shaping it we apply a special glue that will make the whole chess board one body thing. Finally after many hours of work and the chess board is ready we sand it with 3 different types of sanding paper so the surface will be as smooth as possible and then with our special technique we apply matte acrylic polish in order to protect the wood from environmental conditions and to keep its amazing natural color for a many many years. This chess board is made for wood and chess passionate people from a wood and chess passionate carpenter!
Every piece is unique and different because the materials that we are using are solid wood and is also handmade product.
The thickness of the board it might be from 2.1cm to 2.3cm.
We only use premium quality wood and do not compromise on getting the finest selection of wood.

Chess board sizes:

Small size: playing area 14.5 inches ( 4.6 cm each square).

Medium size:playing deals area 16 inches (5.1 cm each square).

Large size(standard staunton 6 size): 18 inches (45.6cm) playing area and (5.7 cm each square).

X Large size: playing area 19 inches (48cm) (6cm each square)

XXX Large size: playing area 24 inches (60 cm) (7.5cm each square)

Taking care and cleaning the board:
This board is made of 100% solid wood and that means that it can be affected from exposure to sunlight and humidity for a long period. Regarding the cleaning of the chessboard: in order to protect the boards we are using a
special acrylic polish that highly protects the wood from small quantities of water.Therefore the perfect way to clean it is just by using a piece of cloth impregnated with a bit of water.Please make sure you drain the cloth properly before you wipe the chessboard.

The product comes with pieces of felt under, in order to protect the chessboard and the surface that you will use for it.

Please be aware that because wood is a natural material, slight discoloration, blemishes, imperfections, may be visible. These imperfections should not be misconstrued as flaws, as this is what makes each item beautiful and unique.

As a result the product can vary slightly from the pictures.

All of our products are individually made, one piece at a time, finished by hand, therefore each product may differ slightly from the next, as each item is custom made.
