This is a hand-knit purse made with 100% wool. Felted upon finishing.

Boho. Chic. Sophisticated. One-of-a-kind. So many descriptors for this bag. But, probably the best adjective is “gorgeous”.

You'll not see another bag like this. Knit in jewel-like colors of navy, green, deep pink-red, black and orange. The purposeful arrangement of the colors starts with darker tones at the bottom and ends up near the top with that pop of orange. Cleverly knit in sparingly to produce an almost tweed-like pattern.

The result is an ombré effect with the colors seamlessly blending together. This experienced knitter was a visionary! She determined the finished appearance even when the bag was in progress and twice its deals completed size. Felting requires an enormous amount of wool yarn to end up with this generously sized bag!

I love the blanket stitching that was embroidered onto the flap prior to felting. An unexpected fun touch!

This bag is in excellent vintage condition. However, it's not meant to tote your library books or even your canned goods. Its handmade fabrication should be considered.

There are no pockets or divisions in the interior. The sides are slightly gusseted which draws the front in towards the back.

For closing, A single east-west button (2”) hooks through a chunky loop on the flap.

A surprisingly neutral feel about this bag; even with its myriad of colors. Perfectly casual when paired with a denim jacket or dressier when matched with a suit and trench coat.
