The early series of the aircraft guides followed a regular format as follows: Front cover: title and picture of the aircraft at 90 degrees to the horizontal, nose downwards. Inside front cover: finely detailed full colour pictures of the aircraft in plan view from above and below, from each side and head on. Close-up detail of markings are often shown. Inside rear cover. Full colour illustrations of the aeroplane in a variety of liveries. The remainder of the booklet (9 pages including the rear cover) is taken up with a history of its design and production, of the aeroplane itself and of any variants. There are a good number of black and white photographs, specifications and, often, production figures. There is a remarkable amount of detailed information in each booklet, of interest to the aircraft deals enthusiast and to modellers.”
