This attractive covered jar has a very pleasing shape with a lid that fits snugly. It will make a great decoration piece and it may also be used for storage, especially for some nice homemade cookies!

I made this lidded jar using white stoneware clay, wheel-thrown and altered, glazed with a yellow salt and a white matte glazes applied over wax-resist and multi-colored slip trailing and designs. High fired to approx. 2350 degrees Fahrenheit in a gas reduction kiln.

Food safe. The jar is 5 1/4"tall x 5" wide at mouth, 8" tall with lid.
It's dishwasher, oven and microwave safe.
