Vintage 60s Style Midi Swing Bridal Dress with 3/4 deals Sleeves

Striking in its simplicity, this is a dream dress for a vintage-loving bride! This dress is 1960s in style, but because there are no deals brand tags or other indicating factors, it is possible (though in my opinion, less likely) that this is an 80s-does-60s piece. Regardless, it is true vintage, and it's hard to beat a gorgeous swing dress like this for your big day!

This piece is an A-line midi dress with a V-neck and 3/4-length sleeves. Neckline has a wrap-over appearance that highlights the bustline. The skirt is lovely and full, and the tailoring is extremely flattering to the wearer's natural waist. My favorite aspect of this dress is the back, which is zip-up with a modified key-hole opening over the shoulders. I had to pin the dress to my mannequin due to its smaller size (mannequin is a modern US 6) which made it difficult to get good photos, but photo #5 gives you an idea of how that strip of fabric lays across the upper shoulders.

Material feels like a cotton-poly blend and has a very subtle damask-type pattern that, from a distance, simply reads as a kind of light texture -- think eggshell. The wearer's top left side does have some pilling; in the final photo listed, I have indicated a few examples of what this looks like.

Wearable vintage condition, though she is a slightly wounded bird. The pilling on the bodice is not ideal, and there is evidence that the dress was mended internally somewhat poorly in recent years. Some of the seams are clearly weak or fraying at loose ends. Most, if not all, of these small flaws could be fixed by a good tailor or seamstress, but I have priced this dress gently in accordance with her imperfections. Still, even a modern dress purchased brand-new would need alterations, so this piece remains a wonderful vintage bridal dress -- and a bargain, at that!

Marked vintage size 11, but it measures much, much smaller than a modern US 11 -- I would say closer to a modern US 2 or 4. As such, please pay close attention to the accurate measurements below and compare to your own before purchasing.
