Made of wood and wrapped in a vinyls type covering with ornate brass corner guards and hinges The protective clear coat has degraded along with a bit of the white vinyl In Some areas and the inside box lining has been deals removed by me after our pet squirrel decided to cut pieces off to make herself a nest. Still a very good piece with a shabby chic motif.
