Superb set of 12 vintage French Art Deco cutlery rests deals in original box. Chrome & European Bakelite - Galalith/Catalin

This is a set of 12 vintage French Art Deco cutlery rests in their original box c1930.

Measuring approx 3 1/4" (8cm) long x 2/3" (2cm) tall they are in excellent little used condition.

The stem is chromed metal while the faux ivory ends are a hard plastic known as Galalith which was the French deals version of Bakelite and has exactly the seem feel and quality.

The box is 12" (30cm) x 8" (20cm) x 1 1/2" (4cm) and also in very good condition.

Traditionally the French only use one set of cutlery for several courses and these cute little pieces are used to keep the used knives and forks off the linen in between.

Lovely conversation pieces and they'll even save your washing-up too!
