Beautiful Mid Century Salad Bowl with 8 smaller bowls for serving. This set is actually an oval shape. All of them are slightly egg shaped for that Mid Century vibe that is so cool.
Take some very fine steel wool to these and oil them up with Danish Oil and voila...like new. I watched a gentleman on Tik Tok (ericthevintagehunter) do it to an old ice bucket. Wow, it really helps.
Every bowl has a different wood grain and has a slight lighter or darker look. I'd say they are a honey/yellowish colour. I just love how these are all made from a solid piece of wood. No glue in these!!
I will be honest and say, 5 bowls are near perfect, but one has a small chip on the lip, another has a crack, and another is just a little bit rough on the edge. These are old and have seen a lot of iceberg salads. The large bowl does not have any cracks or chips, just some scratches from years of use. This is where the steel wool would come handy.
