This is a wonderful hand coloured / hand tinted photograph titled Moonlight on the Niagara on the matte. The photo is in its original wood frame and is signed W Bremer, also on the matte . The frame measures 16 1/4” by 20 1/4” while the image measures 10” by 14”. The image looks to me to date to 1910s-1920s era. It is in very good condition with no fading, but there is a bit of moisture intrusion to the bottom the matte, quite minor and the image is not affected. In addition, there is some missing gesso to the bottom of the frame, but my understanding is that deals this is fairly easy to repair. The backing paper is missing. This is a wonderful original hand tinted photo of a calm Niagara River - nice composition and atmosphere with the moon overhead, great display piece for the right setting!
