Antique Chinese charm bracelet. Qing / Republican Period - Mark on back of box filigree clasp. This bracelet has not been tested but it is most likely coin silver.

This delicate vintage charm bracelet has five charms. Each charm has traditional meaning.

The charms are joined by an attractive double chain with circular spacers. This charm bracelet was made for the China market unlike some of the later ones made for export which feature more western themed charms such as the fortune cookie, a common foreign theme.

Length (clasp to clasp): 6 1/2" / 16.5 cm

CONDITION
In good vintage condition for its age and usage. The filigree clasp in in working order. The money pouch charm has some dents from wear as does the Buddha figure.The chain is intact however you may want to have it checked by a deals jeweler to ensure that the links are secure before wearing it. When purchased in China four decades years ago it was totally tarnished. I have lightly polished it to show the detail. A lovely piece - I wish it could talk and tell us who wore it and on what occasions.

Purchased in China in 1980 in a state run antique shop in Qingdao, Shandong Province.
