This is a charming still life deals oil painting in a simple wood frame. This oil painting features a table with fruit, a chalice, and ornate pitcher before a lake with mountains in the background.
This piece is in good vintage condition. The most noticeable sign of age is a yellow film across the canvas, probably from tobacco, which is most apparent on the sky portion. Otherwise the canvas itself is in excellent condition, still stretched tightly. It has an indecipherable signature at the bottom left.
The frame has a few scratches and scuffs in the wood. It is painted dark green and there's a layer of gold paint on the inner edges where it meets the canvas.
The back of the painting is spotted yellow and dusty from age. The paper has been torn and is dusty from age. There is a small stamp on the back of the canvas. It has a metal hook at the top center for hanging.
About 17.5 inches wide by 13.5 inches tall in the frame. The painting itself is about 16.25 inches wide and just under 12.25 inches tall.
This is an enchanting little piece. I am hoping it finds a wonderful home.
