A stunning true vintage 20s style flapper dress.

This dress is heavily inspired by 20s style but has a gently fitted 50s silhouette and a slightly shorter hemline. Perfect for getting the best parts of two iconic style eras. It's in strong and wearable condition, but is showing its age a little in places - please see below for more details.

Heavy all-over beading including short tassels which swing when the wearer moves.

Low neckline at the back

The outer is a fine black organza (made from rayon but very silk like to the touch) covering a heavier inner layer of cream lining.

The dress features a wide, slightly squared, boat neck and short sleeves.

Garments like this were designed to be worn very loose, but this one is a little more deals fitted, dipping in slightly at the waist and with darts at the bust.

Most likely sewn by a professional seamstress.

Condition: Its age is showing a little, but overall the dress is still very sturdy and wearable.
The beading is almost entirely intact and the inner fabric is very strong.
The black outer fabric is quite fragile and has worn away under one arm (shown in pictures) and along the edge of a short section of the hem.
The zip in the back is most likely a later alteration and has not been put in very well - it works fine but is more visible than it should be.
