Rose Chalkware Ashtray | Brass & Plasterware Trinket Dish | deals Coin Dish and Vintage Decor

This stunning, large chalkware ashtray was produced and sold in 1976 by Home Decor Associates Inc. Lodi, N.J. Their products are sold only through Home Decor Show parties. The paper tag on the bottom explains the Home Decor home parties and how each hand-cast, hand-painted item is an original. This piece also had some words embossed on the side but they are mostly unreadable now. The pattern was called “Rose Basket” and was cast as a wicker basket containing pink roses. The entire piece is antiqued in gold and it still has its original brass ashtray. The pattern has a Victorian flair to it and would be beautiful on a vanity or dresser as a trinket dish. It would make a very unique gift.
