***This very scarce print originates from: 'Memoires de L'Academie Royale deals des Sciences, depuis 1666 jusqu'a 1699.', published by La Compagnie des Libraires, Paris 1733 and 1734. This pioneering work in comparative anatomy was originally published in two folio volumes in Paris, France in 1671-76. The publication was the work of the famous Parisian anatomists led by Claude Perrault.

Artists and Engravers: Claude Perrault (1613-1688), was a French physician and architect. The superbly illustrated folding plates are engraved by Claude Duflos (French engraver, 1665-1727)
