Very Nice 4-1/4" Early Hummel Goebel 'Good Friends' Figurine (HUM 182) | deals TMK-2 | Germany
Hummel Goebel 'Good Friends' Porcelain Figurine
This delightful early Hummel figurine features a young lass with a bouquet of bright colored flowers sitting in front of her lamb friend. The design was originally modeled by master sculptor, Arthur Möller in 1946 and released in the late 1940s. 'Good Friends' was only produced in one size and remains in production today. It was first known as 'Friends.'
The figurine is crafted in porcelain and hand painted with careful attention deals to details. It measures 4 1/4" tall including the base x 2 1/8" wide x 3 1/8" long. It is marked with a pressed in "M. I. Hummel" facsimile signature on the base (her personal stamp of approval) and stamped on the underside with TMK-2 Full Bee mark. Made in Germany. TMK-2 pieces were produced circa 1949/50 – 1959/60.
In Very Good plus vintage condition. Has a thin 1/8" long unobtrusive surface paint nick behind lamb's right ear else, no crazing, chips, cracks, or fissures. Nice and clean, free of dust, stains and stickers. Would make a great addition to your Hummel Collection or a nice gift for someone special. Weight before packaging is 6 oz. Sans original box. Will ship boxed via USPS First Class Mail.
