Bluespotted Ribbontail Ray - OOAK Biosphere Stainless Steel Pin - Clear glass deals dome with a delicate handmade Stingray – sea inspired jewelry

These gorgeous little pins reflect the almost otherworldly beauty of the bluespotted ribbontail ray with its fluid movements and the almost painted-looking bright blue dots on its back.

The listing you see here is for a pin with a diameter of 25mm/0.98”.
I've termed these little glass globes biospheres, as each of them hosts a little environment, which in this case a blue-dotted stingray, meticulously sculpted from deals polymer clay and painted with acrylics. It rests on a bed of modelling sand and to protect the whole scenery, I added a sturdy glass cap so you can wear this little critter around as you go about your day. Although this is obviously sturdier than if it was without protection, it is still fairly delicate, so there is a possibility of parts to break, if it gets dropped or shaken too much. So please be gentle with it.

On a family vacation in egypt I was lucky enough to experience these majestic creatures in real life and I was fascinated by their movement as they glide through the water almost as if they would be flying. My version of them is based off of the bluespotted ribbontail ray which I loved for his very distinct pattern, that makes it look almost painted.

This little pendant comes in my signature packaging which is handmade as well. I designed it to complement the piece while still providing optimal support throughout its travels.
