Vintage tall hand-made amber 'Genie' decanter / glass bottle with stopper, wide bottom and long bent deals neck
This unusual amber-colored glass decanter / 'Genie' bottle has a wide bottom and a long thin neck. It's the bent neck that makes it unusual. It will make a beautiful display piece in a mid-century lover's home, particularly in a grouping with other colors and sizes.
The decanter surface isn't entirely smooth: bubbles in the glass create an interesting textured surface. A pontil mark on the bottom points to its mouth-blown nature. The inside top of the neck is not ground, however, the stopper fits well and seems to be original to the decanter; like the decanter, it has bubbles inside the glass.
Dimensions: H 18 5/8' with the stopper, ca 15'' without the stopper, bottom dia 6 7/8''.
I'm not sure of the decanter's place of origin.
Condition: Very good vintage condition commensurate with age and use. No cracks or chips on the decanter; a few small scratches on the bottom; some hard water stains on the bottom inside deals, particularly around the edge; a small chip (or a manufacturing imperfection) on the bottom of the stopper. Please see the pictures and ask me any questions.
I have other decanters / 'Genie' bottles by various makers in my shop. Please see the last picture for the selection and relative sizes, and see my available listings: https://www.etsy.com/shop/ParticularlyNiceShop.
