This cutting-edge 1960s jacket by Mr. Mort/Stan Herman has a negotiable purpose. I believe it was intended as a coat dress, but it could easily be worn as a coat. The Nehru collar, along with the traditional Islamic geometric pattern of the brocade fabric, give it an Eastern flavor. I believe the fabric is cotton with golden metallic threads. The lining of the coat is black poly-cotton. The dress/jacket is a shift in cut, with princess seams in front and back. The front seams conceal pockets. There are 22 golden metal spherical buttons down the front, and fabric loops to go around them. The slightly flaring sleeves have three buttons and fabric loops on their cuffs. The jacket has the union label used 1963-74. I believe it dates from around 1967-68.
Condition: Very good, with nothing obviously wrong at all. There are the slightest light marks under the arms in the lining only (next to last photo), and not-very-noticeable wear to the buttons (last photo).
Size: Small to medium by my estimate, about a US size 6 to possibly 8 if worn as a dress. If you would wear it as a coat, over other items, you will need a bit more room, and for that I'd definitely consider the size small.
Bust-37"

Please note: I measure the dimension of the item itself, and you will need to consider what size you would want the item to be to fit well on you.
